You Deserve Independence, Comfort & Companionship

From doctor and dentist appointments to grocery shopping and personal paperwork, People Who Care can help. When you’re no longer able to drive due to age, disability or vision, our volunteers provide free, door-through-door transportation and other services for enrolled Neighbors in the Quad-Cities area. That means your volunteer will stay with you until your appointment or errand is fully complete.

How We Can Help

You can rest assured you’re in good hands. People Who Care conducts thorough background and reference checks on all volunteers before they begin providing services. They also attend volunteer orientations to learn about our history, culture and services — and only then are they connected with our Neighbors.

*Minimal assistance is providing a steady arm momentarily. Volunteers are not able to lift or pull. If a person can be transferred unassisted from their walker or wheelchair, in and out of a vehicle, they can be transported. If a wheelchair is used, arrangements must be previously arranged for it to be available at the destination, as we cannot transport wheelchairs.
