Become a Volunteer

Make a difference in other people's lives and your own

Volunteering with People Who Care is easy, flexible, and very rewarding. It’s an opportunity for you to provide essential services and form meaningful relationships with neighbors in your community. It just feels good!

Our volunteers provide non-medical assistance to our neighbors. And there are many different ways you can help.

Transport neighbors in your own vehicle

  • Bring Neighbors to doctor visits and other essential appointments
  • Grocery shop with a Neighbor
  • Escort Neighbors on other important errands

Assist in Other Ways

  • Grocery shop for a Neighbor
  • Pick-up and deliver groceries
  • Provide basic technology assistance
  • Assist with personal paperwork
  • Provide non-medical family caregiver relief
  • Make friendly home visits and/or phone calls
  • Conduct home safety assessments
  • Complete minor home repairs
  • Pet to Vets

More Options for Volunteering

  • Assist in our office by scheduling services, answering phones and more
  • Write thank-you cards
  • Join a committee to help with marketing or special events
  • Serve as a board member

Short on Time?

If you don’t have a lot of time to give, you can help out on a project basis. For example, you can:

    • Deliver gift bags
    • Make cards
    • And much more!

Build Relationships with Ongoing Assignments

Many times, a volunteer will really connect with a Neighbor and choose to make their assignment “ongoing.” This not only ensures that our Neighbor has a volunteer on a regular schedule but also creates the opportunity to form the kind of long-term, supportive relationship that is so important to all of us.

Volunteer Orientation

Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month in our Prescott office from 1:30pm-3:30pm. Due to the holidays, we will not be conducting a Volunteer Orientation during December. Our next Volunteer Orientation is scheduled for January 17, 2024. If you want to start volunteering sooner, please contact Faith Guerrero @ 928-350-6783. . If you are planning to attend, please call our volunteer program manager at (928)445-2480 or email volunteer@peoplewhocareaz.com
